FIESTA SHOW: Bill Eash

Ongoing progress for May 06 show. Will need volunteers to help. Modified classes. Class A can earn sweepstakes points (estimate $10/point).

Dian Deal is interested in a clinic for driving horses with Francine Dismukes. She will follow up on this issue.

OPEN SHOWS: Marilyn Short & Kathy Starustka

Dates: March 25, June 24 & Sept. 23, 2006.

Motion approved to furnish room for 1st Judge T. Hatfield for one night (not to exceed $75.00). 2nd & 3rd Judges: Joe & Vickie Munie.

Open Arabian Incentive Program: Arabian points - event report form - receive points for placing (high points).

Community Show Program: incentive program at local show level. Awards at end of the year. Need 50% Arabian participation. Suggestion was to take one of the schooling shows & change it to a community show.

ECHO: Ginny Nokes

Requests received for less than 10 hardcopies of the ECHO & will be sent out. Will start to advertise. Marilyn will need rates to publish for ECHO & website. Motion approved to pay for Ginny Nokes 3 year membership.

YOUTH: Jeanne Harford

Horsefest: January 21-22, 06: Mesquite, Texas. Michelle Ehrlund is a big part of its success.

Halter class - Kim Potts at Valley View on January 28/06. Deadline Jan. 14th. Free for youth/families & to audit. Coggins needed. Please call Jeanne Harford for details. Youth paying for one hotel night.

SASHA: Jeanne Harford

Liz Shatner - judge. 50th annual event. Class A Show at the Rose Palace.
Sponsorship forms given out. There is to be no SASHA meeting this month.

Affilitate members name now changed to basic. AHA website continue to work on updating website to keep current. Reviewed one email sent by a member who was not renewing their membership due to a lack of communication on upcoming events & not receiving the ECHO in a timely manner. Club has resolved to improve its efforts.

TRAIL RIDES; Sherri Youngblood

Continuing to work on February 06 trail ride.

CLINICS: Donna Doulton

Desentiziation Clinic with Melissa Neal scheduled for March 11/06. Information on website & Mary Bell will send out emails to members. For any questions please call Melissa Neal (phone number on flyer) or Donna Doulton. Deadline
for registration is March 6/06.

Team Penning Clinic at Cibolo Livery scheduled for October 8/06, more information to follow & to be posted on website. Any questions call Donna Doutlon.

OLD BUSINESS;

Freedome Classic: Waco, Tx. March 10-12/06. All youth - free to kids. Tack stall is the only cost. New this year: Horse Photo - incentive to attend - get your photo with an Arabian! Every child entering the ring gets a small gift. Motion to donate $500.00 approved.

March meeting: Board members nominations.

Laurie & Anita Savage: motion approved for $50.00 appreciation plaque. Linda Cornelius & Marilyn Short are hoping to get a work day scheduled to help the Savage’s family with mending fences etc.... It will be from 10:00 a.m. to
2:00 p.m. Tentative date January 29/06 - will verify with Savages. Please contact Marilyn Short for details.

NEW BUSINESS:

SASHA: check Class Schedule.
Premium book: Advertisement full page $150.00. Contact J. Harford. Motion approved to advertise Fiesta Show in this book.

Delegates: Bill Eash, Jeanne Harford & Margo Shallcross based on our membeship numbers as of June. First convention: Horsefest. Duties of delegates were not discussed will be reviewed at next meeting.

Meeting place changed for February 6, 2006. It will be held at Wah Kee Chinese Seafood Cuisine at 18360 Blanco Road, #122, San Antonio. Phone: 210-497-6669. This is across from the Target’s on Blanco Road.
