TREASURY: Bill Eash - Successful Fiesta Spring Show.

MEMBERSHIP: Mary Bell - Mary Bell not available.

ECHO: Rosemarie Eash - Rosemarie Eash not available but reports ECHO due out this week.

TRAIL RIDES: Sherri Younglbood - No updates.

CLINICS: Donna Doulton - Team Penning Clinic still scheduled for October 8, 2006 – please refer to website for details.

YOUTH: Jeane Harford - Youth of the Year Presentation due at the annual meeting on July 1st. There are 3 nominees todate. June 15th is the deadline. Silent auction at Spring Fiesta Show our youth members made $856.00. Thank you cards to be sent out. Anticipating a quite summer. Region 9 Youth – Sorting – can bid on teams to be held June 16th at Ft. Worth.

OLD BUSINESS:

ANNUAL MEETING – Saturday, July 1, 2006 starting at 6:30 p.m. at Double Diamond in Boerne. Pot luck dinner. Casino night – dressy/casual. Will send e-blast to members a week before as a reminder. Bill Eash will see if Region 9 Director Dale Harvell would come to speak at the Annual Meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:

National ID System – need to get all the information. Will look into sponsoring a speaker to clarify many questions. For Region 9 meeting @ Nationals – need to ensure that this subject is on the table for discussion.

Mark Williams has written to Lamar Smith, State Senator, & he suggests everyone send letter. He offers to send copy of it to your email address, he requests your zip code to be included - you add your name to it & send. Follow-up within a week. Drapery for the Horse Show: Linda Cornelius, Laura Smith, Dian Deal, Kathryn Casey, Mary Bell & Lori Sill to look into this matter further. Suggestion was that the club needs to put back some money into the show.

Box seats at theRegionals: Sits 12 people. $300.00 & anyone who is a member can use them. Motion approved.

Sport Horse – donation of $500.00 approved.

For all our volunteers, Fiesta Show & Open Shows, a dinner at La Fonda’s Restaurant. Bill Eash will look into this further & report back. Jeane Harford to look into pins. Tentative date: Sat. August 5, 2006 – will send out invitations in the thank you cards.

Appreciation Gift Certificate: Jeanene Pegg-Hundley suggested giving a $150.00 gift/certificate to the people who supply the plants for the Fiesta Show. Approved.

Website: Marilyn Short will not take any money offered to her to maintain the website as she feels that this is her contribution to the club. Elizabeth Williams to be the contact person for any changes to the website.

Dog problems at shows. It is USEF rules that state ”all dogs must be on a leash”. We need to enforce these rules as it is getting out of hand. It is a safety issue, we need to protect our riders, horses, people who come watch the shows & we also need to protect the dogs.
