The monthly meeting, held at Chester’s Hamburgers, was called to order
at 7:00pm by Rose Marie Eash. The Board of Directors and members watched a video
presentation of the First Annual Octoberfest Open Show, which the club had just
hosted the previous weekend.
The minutes for the last board meeting were approved.
Bill Eash presented the Treasury Report.
Sherri Youngblood reported that the Youth members were successful during their
baked goods fundraiser, which was held during the Open Show. The Youth club
will be planning a clinic during the early part of next year.
Chelsea Logsdon sent a thank you note to the club for honoring her with a scholarship.
The Volunteer Party was set for November 7th, and it was agreed that Linda Cornelius
would secure a room at Scenic Loop Café for the evening.
Margo Shallcross brought up a few of the resolutions that would be voted upon
at the Arabian Horse Association Convention.
Bill Eash discussed the success of the Open Show held the previous weekend.
The board discussed ways to make the show even more successful for the next
year. Positive comments were made by Buck Grass, the Judge for the show.
The Board continued the discussion on a trail ride/caroling event in December.
A couple of venues were mentioned, but a decision would be made at a later date.
