TV Program “Flip this House” had a horse star …. Shay’s Pride & Joy owned by Jeanine Pegg-Hundley.

Black Stallion Literacy Program – Margo Shallcross

Goal: Increase literacy promotion in Texas grades 4 -7. Financial support needed. Margo to forward information to Dian Deal.

Ambassadorship: Paul Valdez, Linda Cornelius

How to promote the club to non-horse people? Discussed parades which is easier for barns to do rather than individuals. Other avenues of interest: going to local schools, girl scouts, local parades etc... Paul Valdez volunteered & will bring ideas at the next meeting. Margo Shallcross to assist.

Linda Cornelius brought up the concern that it is always the same people that volunteer and/or show up for meetings. Incentives for other members? Suggestions: Point system ie. one hour = one point. Need 10 points a year to maintain membership in good standing. Not everyone physically able to come out to shows but if able can do telephone contacts etc…
